Tasmania: From
Violence to Wholeness
We are currently finalising details about
Facilitator Training courses in Tasmania
following the Melbourne workshop. This will
likely be April 27-29th. Further details and

Queensland: Violence to Wholeness
Two programmes of From Violence To Wholeness will
be offered in Queensland shortly after Easter.
One programme will be offered in Toowoomba, the
other will run in Goondiwindi.

Queensland Schools
Several schools in Queensland have introduced a
PEACEBUILDERS programme which uses workbooks,
stories and games aimed at reducing violence in
schoolchildren.
The programme was piloted in Goodna State School
and demonstrated the following results:
fewer detentions, suspensions, cases of truancy,
police call-outs and requests for teacher
transfer;
more student satisfaction, parental
participation, parental satisfaction, positive
contacts with government and non-government
agencies.

Victoria: From Violence to Wholeness
Brendan will facilitate a workshop entitled:
Creating a Culture of Peace: exploring the
spirituality and practice of active nonviolence
at the Gathering Place, St Paul's Mission
College, Norton's Lane, Wantirna South on ANZAC
Day, Wednesday April 25th
from 10am - 4pm.
Cost $10 or donation.
This workshop is designed for those interested in
promoting or presenting the FVTW course in their
communities. Together we will explore the course
and variations in facilitation.

Facilitator Training....any takers?
Brendan has recently returned from staff training
and meetings with Pace E Bene in Oakland,
California. The FVTW team there is currently
working on the development of Facilitator
Training programs in response to rapidly
increasing demand from across the US, Canada,
East Timor, Papua New Guinea, Mexico and Colombia.
We are looking for opportunities to enable
communities around Australia to deepen their
understanding and skills in the spirituality and
practice of active nonviolence ...
